The May Casting Call Contest

Congratulations to Susan G, the winner of April's contest and a $25 Amazon gift voucher, for choosing the actor to play Vince Fuller! As you can see, Steve Martin has now snuggled in with Miles.

For those of you reading this blog for the first time, Final Notice and Final Act are being adapted into a four-part limited series screenplay, I thought it would be fun to get readers to suggest actors who could play the various roles. And to make it more interesting, a lucky winner will be drawn each month from those who suggested the winning actor.

All you need to do is tell me which actor you think would be best for each month's featured role, and you will be entered with a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift voucher.

We'll conduct a new Casting Couch Contest each month until the cast is finalized! It's your opportunity to win one or more $25 Amazon gift certificates! All you need to do is tell me which actor you think would be best for each month's featured role. One name from those readers who voted for the winning actor will be awarded a $25 Amazon gift voucher.

This month we have the opportunity to interview Vince's (much) better half, Trudi Fuller. So, what actor would you like to see in the role of Trudi? Enter below:

Let's get started with the interview!

(Van) "Hi, Trudi! Thanks for joining us today. How's it going?"

(Trudi) "I'm doing well, thanks. I miss Miles, though. Rasha, too."

(Van) "How about Vince?"

(Trudi) "Do you have any other questions?"

(Van) "Ha! He can be a pain sometimes. But sure, what have you been doing since receiving your big payout from the Final Notice sales?"

(Trudi) Bursts into hilarious laughter ... continued laughter .. a bit more laughter. "Sorry. Big Payout is a bit 'over-the-top' as the Brits would say. I will say that I really enjoyed the opportunity to play an older woman."

(Van) "But she was your age ... whoops. Sorry. Yes, Ahh, I'm sure that was fun. So all that makeup was to make you look older?"

(Trudi, digitally glaring) "Speaking of age, what have you been doing, if you can remember?

(Van) "I love you too, Trudi. I referred to you as a 'hottie' when I interviewed Vince. So, what have you been up to?"

(Trudi) "Did he laugh? To answer your question, I'm looking for another role where I can risk my life, fight a life-threatening disease, and be devastated at the prospect of losing my husband to another life-threatening situation. Are you writing anything like that now?"

(Van) "No, but it sounds familiar. How's your songwriting going?"

(Trudi) "If you promise not to laugh or say something insulting, I was just named a 'hot new artist' on Spotify."

(Van) "Really? I mean, that's great!"

(Trudi) "Yeah. I made more than you paid me for my Final Notice role. $13 dollars and 26 cents! I'm still trying to decide how to spend it all. Why can't you cast me as Jennifer? "

(Van) "Ahhh. Thanks, Trudi, and thanks, everyone, for joining us. Good luck to all of you in May's Casting Couch Contest to find the perfect actor for the role of Trudi!

The rules are simple. The actor should preferably be alive, and their budget demands are of no consequence! Just click on the blue box below.

The deadline for receipt of your entry is May 31st. Got it? You can always e-mail me at van@vanfleisher.com if you have questions.

Before we go, I have some big news! Next month Vijay Patel has accepted my invitation to be interviewed. If you have any questions for him, let me know in advance.
